Engineering Design-For solutions to high purity, release and corrosive applications, turn to the fluoropolymer experts at Edlon. They
have a broad range of experience, plus the latest research, design and fabrication technology to produce a corrosion-resistant,
Teflon®-based system engineered to meet your specific guidelines, no matter how complex. Edlon design engineers have been key
solution providers for thousands of applications in the widest variety of industries. Their design insight allows them to match overall
system configuration to specific chemical processes, taking into account all appropriate internal and external variables.
In order to maximize system performance, it is often required that a variety of fluoropolymer materials be utilized. Edlon has the capability
to choose from one of the broadest spectra of corrosion-resistant materials in the market. The product line includes field-proven
formulations along with new, state-of-the-art materials. Such diversity gives Edlon engineers the ability to choose the fluoropolymer lining,
liner, coating or solid component that best suits your needs.

Material Expertise-Edlon has pioneered the use of Teflon® films and resins to develop cost-effective, long-term solutions for high
purity, corrosive and release applications. It has a proven track record of solving process and equipment problems in the chemical,
pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, food processing and semiconductor industries. Its extensive knowledge of fluoropolymers, breadth of
product line and wide variety of materials of construction combine for maximum application flexibility. The solution might be a solid
fluoropolymer component, a wet-spray or electrostatic coating bonded to steel, or a loose lining, precisely formed for a customized fit using
Edlon's array of proprietary fabrication and fusion welding techniques. The company also specializes in dual-laminate systems composed
of fluoropolymer bonded to an outer shell of fiberglass reinforced plastic. The resulting composite material provides an integral corrosion
barrier able to withstand full vacuum and severe agitation conditions and is three to five times lighter than steel.
Whatever the situation, rest assured that Edlon has the fluoropolymer expertise to develop a uniquely tailored solution that delivers
maximum process results.

Inspecting and Testing-Experienced Edlon service technicians are readily prepared to perform routine inspections of Teflon®-lined
process equipment. Service technicians are trained in vessel entry and safety procedures and can make minor field repairs on
fluoropolymer lined and coated equipment. Edlon technicians will also field inspect existing equipment to determine suitability for
lining/coating or repair.

Laboratory Testing-The successful application of Edlon products in the field begins in the lab where technicians employ the most
advanced techniques to evaluate the physical properties of various materials of construction. Edlon uses this information for materials
research, product design, processing and quality control. A sample of Edlon's testing processes includes:

Thermal gravimetric analysis - Measures the physical and reactive properties of materials as a function of temperature.
Microtoming and microscopy - Ideal for contaminate detection, permeation studies, failure analysis, and manufacturing and welding
quality control.
Hydro-pressure cycle testing - Gauges fatigue and creep resistance of fluoropolymers.
Isocells - Analyze corrosion resistance.
Differential scanning calorimeter - Applied in material differentiation and melt point observation.
Edlon offers unique solutions that incorporate maximum corrosion resistance and performance
to achieve optimum system efficiency. For more than 40 years, Edlon has perfected every
phase of design for corrosive service. Our engineers have designed or been design
consultants on thousands of installations in the widest variety of industrial applications – from
mass transfer and piping systems, to storage vessels and truck tanks.

Edlon possesses one of the broadest spectrum of corrosion-resistant materials to choose from
in the industry. We can provide coatings and linings in a variety of thicknesses and materials,
including loose liners, and glass-backed liners bonded to steel with proprietary adhesives.
Such diversity allows Edlon engineers the flexibility to meet the varying needs of processors
worldwide.
